Accessibility Statement

About this site

Wider Group is Shahar Wider's AI and Claude training business. This site presents the workshops, hosts the course material, and holds each student's personal area.

We want everyone to be able to use it, including people who work with a screen reader, enlarged text, or the keyboard alone. This page sets out what we have actually done, what is not there yet, and how to tell us when something does not work.

Conformance level

This site is built to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568 at Level AA, which adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA, under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

Today that conformance is partial: most of the site has been tested and meets the requirements, and some parts are still being worked through. What we know does not meet it is listed under limitations below — we would rather name it than leave it vague.

What we built

Accessibility here lives in the code itself, not in a third-party accessibility widget. Floating overlay toolbars of that kind do not satisfy Israeli law, and the Commission for Equal Rights has said so directly.

The site is built with semantic HTML and named landmarks, skip links to the content and to the navigation, a clear focus indicator for keyboard use, a bound label and a spoken error message on every form field, colour contrast measured against the requirement, and alternative text on images.

It is written Hebrew-first with full RTL direction. Numbers, prices and English product names inside Hebrew text are bidirectionally isolated so they do not reverse on screen or in a screen reader's reading order.

Clips in the online courses come with captions a person has checked, plus a written transcript under the slide. Automatic captions get things wrong, so no clip reaches a student until the instructor has gone through them. Captions can be switched off and on, and the transcript is there to open whenever you want it.

Where we tested

Browsers: current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile.

Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.

On top of that, every change to the site runs automated checks against the WCAG 2.1 AA ruleset, plus keyboard navigation, 200% text enlargement and RTL direction tests.

Limitations we know about

Some older workshop recordings do not yet have full Hebrew captions. Clips in the online courses are not part of that gap, since they are captioned and checked before a student sees them. We are working through the older recordings, and until then you can ask us for a transcript of any specific one and we will send it.

Some internal admin screens, which are not open to the public, have not been fully reviewed yet.

Third-party content embedded in the site is not entirely under our control. If you hit something there that is not accessible, tell us and we will take it up with the supplier or provide an alternative.

Downloadable documents

Documents you can download from this site are made accessible under IS 5568 Part 2. If you come across one that is not, or you would simply rather have it in another format, write to us and we will send an accessible version or the same content as a web page.

Hit a problem? Tell us

If something here did not work for you, we want to know. Write to shahar@wider-group.com or call 054-4310020, and tell us what you were trying to do, on which page, and in which browser or assistive technology.

We acknowledge every report, and we handle an accessibility defect reported in writing within 60 days of receiving it, under Regulation 35(d)(1). If we need longer, we will tell you what we found and when it will be fixed.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can take it to the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice.

Accessibility contact

Name: Shahar Wider. Email: shahar@wider-group.com. Phone: 054-4310020.

SMS and WhatsApp reach the same number, if a phone call does not suit you.

Wider Group employs fewer than 25 people, so the duty to appoint an accessibility coordinator under Section 19N does not apply to it. We publish a named accessibility contact anyway, because without one there is nobody to write to.

Physical accessibility

Wider Group has no branch or office open to the public, so there are no physical accessibility arrangements to publish under Regulation 34.

Workshops run online or at the client's offices. When we come to a client site, the physical arrangements there belong to whoever owns the building — so if you have an accessibility need ahead of a workshop, tell us in advance and we will check the venue with the host, or move the session online.
